GIANTmicrobes Launches Microbe Of The Month Club

GIANTmicrobes, headquartered in Stamford, CT, has launched a Microbe of the Month Club for enthusiasts of cells, germs and microscopic critters. Giantmicrobes plush line represents hundreds of microbes, a million times actual size.  This new monthly program is ideal for students, teachers, scientists and anyone with a sense of humor, according to the GIANTmicrobes website. Members of the Microbe of the Month club will receive a GIANTmicrobes plush microbe or cell each month beginning in December 2015. Individuals who join by October 15 will receive a $20 discount on the program.

There are three category choices for the Microbe of the Month Club—Germs, Cells, or STDs. The Germ club will include: Common Cold, Kissing Disease, Mad Cow, Chickenpox and many others. The Cell club will include: Red Blood Cell, Bone Cell, Brain Cell, DNA and many more. The STD club will include: Herpes, Chlamydia, Clap, Penicillin and lots more.

“I first learned about the Microbe of the Month Club from the GIANTmicrobes website, and I have already ordered many individual microbes and cells for my classroom. The kids are going to be thrilled to open the packages every month. I also ordered the Back to School Keychains, which I think will be great for classroom giveaways,” said Tom Finneran, public school teacher.

GIANTmicrobes™ creates plush products that look like common microbes, cells and other organisms, a million times actual size. The combination of humor and education resonates with parents, children, educators, doctors, nurses, biologists, health-care companies, non-profit associations and other lovers of science, learning and fun. “We believe that the Microbe of the Month Club will be a wonderful unique gift for the holidays,” said Andrew Klein, President at GIANTmicrobes. GIANTmicrobes™ products are available in museums, bookstores, gift shops, toy stores, educational retailers worldwide and on their website.
