Scottsdale, Arizona based online cooking school Smart Kitchen has recently announced that their online videos have surpassed the 500 mark. The company provides cooking videos on their website that help consumers to learn kitchen skills using methods that professional chefs use.
Perry Herst, spokesperson for the company, states, "Our online cooking videos are designed to help individuals learn the ins and outs of cooking, but at the level of a culinary school education. These aren't the type of things you'll find on YouTube. They're cooking lessons that real chefs use."
Smart Kitchen provides three levels of cooking instruction through their online videos. Each course includes a recipe and resources for those who need them, including a list of all of the ingredients needed to prepare the specific dish. The levels of cooking include beginner's level, as well as intermediate and advanced instruction. "We've tried to even out the balance by offering something that is interesting and informative for cooks of all levels," states Herst. "We now have more than 500 hours of instructional videos and we plan to add more soon."
Membership is required to access the videos. Paid membership includes access to all 500 plus videos. Beginner videos teach basic instruction for those with little experience in the kitchen. Intermediate videos include topics like knife skills, proteins, complex breakfast recipes, and instructions on how to further hone cooking skills. The advanced level takes it a step further with videos designed to turn viewers into veritable chefs. All levels of videos can be enjoyed with membership so once a user gets the basic skill set down, they can move on to a more advanced level.
The site offers access to their wealth of videos at any time of the day or night, and the company states that they are adding new selections for viewers on a regular basis, complete with all instructions and recipes so they expect to be close to the 1,000 video mark in the near future.
