Eisner Laser Center Introduces Lasik for Young People with “30 Under 30”

MACON, Ga. – October 27, 2015 – Eisner Laser Center, Central Georgia’s most experienced LASIK practice, announced today that it is introducing “30 under 30,” a new program intended to help younger patients afford laser vision correction.  LASIK enables the patient to experience better vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses. It is a “blade-free” process.

“This generation of patients under 30 has grown up with LASIK as a household word,” said Dr. Eisner.  “Many of their parents had it in the ‘early days’ of LASIK’s development.  Cost can be a challenge for many young people who want LASIK. It’s an elective procedure so insurance very rarely participates.  We made a decision to make LASIK more affordable so they could overcome that barrier.  Now with advances in technology making LASIK outcomes even better and more predictable than ever, we're helping them to experience the benefits of this amazing procedure at a much younger age than their parents.”

The Eisner Laser Center’s “30 under 30” program enables patients 30 years old or younger to get a 30% savings off of LASIK procedures.  The offer includes a free consultation and 24 months at 0% interest for patients who finance their LASIK procedures.  (Some restrictions apply.) Patients can book their free consultations over the practice’s website, http://www.dreisner.com.

LASIK is used to treat low to high amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. The number one choice of refractive surgeons and patients worldwide to reduce or eliminate dependence on glasses and contact lenses, LASIK works by reshaping corneal tissue layers just beneath the outer surface of the eye. It is generally a painless procedure with a very quick recovery for most patients. More than 14 million LASIK procedures have been performed in the United States since its introduction 17 years ago.

Dr. Eisner specializes exclusively in laser vision correction. He has performed nearly 20,000 laser correction procedures, more than all other Central Georgia practices combined.  A practicing ophthalmologist since 1984, he received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and then attended graduate school in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned his MD at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. He completed a Family Practice Internship in Lubbock and then a four-year residency program in Ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
